Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

I interrupt my 30 Days of Thanks for a Thanksgiving weekend Recap. Our Thanksgiving weekend was action packed and I loved (almost) every minute of it.

We had Thanksgiving dinner with Andrew's parents on Thursday night.  Aiden learned a new trick (this was the low point of the weekend aka...the part that I did not love)...it involves him making himself throw up when he doesn't want to eat something.  It happened, right in the middle of Thanksgiving dinner.  I thought it was a fluke.  Like maybe his tummy hurt?  Maybe he had too much juice before dinner? But don't feel too badly for him, his tummy was totally fine when it came time to eat pumpkin pie.  After dinner and dessert we headed to opening night of ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo.  It was so fun!  I love the Zoo and I love Zoolights.  If you ever want to go when it's not jam packed, try Thanksgiving night.  It was perfect.

Friday my family came over to our house for Thanksgiving lunch.
Andrew got in some good cuddle time with Noah after lunch.  So presh.
Aannnddd....Aiden made himself puke...again.  In the middle of Thanksgiving lunch.  And again, he rallied and ate dessert.  I am about 5% impressed with this new skill as it takes very little effort on his part and comes out of no where.  I'm about 10% annoyed that he made himself throw up (into my hands) during not one...but TWO thanksgiving meals. And I am absolutely 85% terrified every single time he eats now because two handfuls of puke is pretty much my limit.

Anyway...enough about that.  Friday evening we decided we wanted to check out the stars so we packed up and headed North.  We stopped briefly at the Coach Outlet in Anthem "for a potty break" aka....to see what they had going on for Black Friday.  And I walked  skipped out of the store with a pretty new purse that I snagged for 90% off!  What?!?! I am now a believer in Black Friday Deals.  After that we headed up to Cordes Junction, found a little camp site, laid out our blankets and snuggled under the stars. Just the three of us.  Aiden was dying with excitement.  At one point he ran circles around the blanket repeating "I love our campsite! I love our campsite! This is such a great campsite!" It was so fun.  We did not, however, actually camp.  Just a quick visit but still super fun.
all bundled up
Saturday we had some family time (at Old Navy...deal hunting) and then dropped Aiden off with Andrew's parents.  We got our couples massage, saw the movie "End of Watch" and had dinner at St. Francis.
St. Francis

St. Francis is in fact very close to the top of my list of favorite places to eat.  It is amazingly delicious.  Like...I got the Pot Roast and died.  I hate pot roast. But their pot roast was literally to die for. So so good.  Sunday we went to check out the Museum and they didn't open till noon.  Bust.  So we went to breakfast at Vovomeena instead (also super delish) and then hunted more deals at Target.  Andrew basically got a new wardrobe from the clearance section.  It was a blast.

vovomeena with my hot man.
Overall, it was such a wonderful weekend.  Aiden and I both loved all the time we got with Andrew since he had FOUR whole days off of work. It was awesome.  And I'm very Thankful.
