Saturday morning we decided to run out and pick up some breakfast. We were just leisurely driving down the freeway when CRACK....the car in front of us kicked up a PIPE that was in the road and it came flying full speed ahead right into our windshield! Luckily (looking at it as a "glass half full" moment) the pipe hit the hood of my car first then slapped the window and bounced off instead of flying directly up and through the window. This did leave a gash in the hood of my car BUT the alternative would have been a pipe flying who knows how fast right at Aiden sitting in the middle of the back seat. I'll take the gash in the hood any day.
So there we were on the freeway with glass all over us and a destroyed windshield. Thankfully, we had dropped Andrews dad's truck off at a dealership a few days earlier to get some work done. The dealership was only about half a mile from where we had the encounter with the pipe and hooray...the truck was ready for pick up. So we headed to the dealership and traded them the car for the truck. What a crazy experience!
Here's what our windshield looked like:

Oh that sucks! One time a piece of tire flew up and hit my sisters car and it was horrible. She had to drive like 30 miles home with the windshield worse than yours.
