New uses for old things:

One of my favorite things about the Real Simple magazine is their monthly article on "new uses for old things". Aiden recently decided he could think of a few new uses for an old thing of his own. His beloved indoor trashcan. This can was originally purchased for my office, but the trash was quickly removed and within seconds it was thrown around the room. Before I knew it the Roy boy was hard at work finding new uses for this trash.

1. Hat. The stainless steel color of the can makes it work with virtually any outfit.

And it's durability is ideal for accidental run-ins with the couch.

2. Giant Cup. This idea is a-ok for any imaginary liquid. I think he's imagining a giant cup of coke. He snuck a sip from his daddy's cup the other day and well...he wants more!

3. Bicycle. Aiden wants a bicycle SO badly. So he decided this trashcan works just as well as any old bike.

Sometimes he even takes "Tato head" for a spin inside his sweet bike.

5. Step-stool. Although I wouldn't recommend it.

So there you have it. Next time you have a trashcan that you're not using why not try out any one of these tricks. They provide hours of entertainment...at least for a toddler.

When you start looking for bikes check out mykinderbike.com These are glider bikes, no pedals they learn balance first. My kids have loved them and done very well.
