A week in the life of a birthday boy

If there's one thing everyone knows about my family it's that birthdays are an absolutely, positively, crazy, crazy BIG deal. So you'd better believe that Aiden turning one wasn't going to happen without a celebration....or five. I told Andrew a few months ago "I think we'll keep Aiden's bday pretty small this year, he's only one, there's no need to over do it"...bahaha, who was I kidding?!?

Here's the 1st birthday recap:
Celebration #1 on his Actual Birthday:
1. Breakfast of pancakes and bananas @ our favorite little cafe/market.
2. starbucks visit...to see Uncle Joel & get coffee for Andrew. Unc made a big deal about Aiden's b-day so all of the customers and employees wished him multiple happy birthdays. He's now basically a celebrity.
2. One year check up with his Dr. (he is just under 23 lbs & is just over 31 inches...he grew three inches since his last appointment! And he's right on track developmentally. He is absolute perfection)
3. An extra long nap...yay!
4. Phoenix Children's Museum. That place is great...we loved it!


5. little trip to AJ's to get the bud boy a birthday cupcake..double chocolate, of course!

Celebration #2: Lunch at Grammie & Pops with my family. On the menu: Steak & Asparagus, followed by another cupcake! For the record...my parents didn't make me a steak lunch for any of my birthdays (and I've had 26 of them) but Aiden got a steak lunch, which he LOVED by the way, for his very first. You've set the bar high Pops...real high!

Celebration #3: El Numero Uno Fiesta! So many of our wonderful friends and family came over to celebrate the special occasion with us. Stay tuned for pictures of that. It deserves a post of it's very own.

We have had a wonderful year with this boy & had so much fun celebrating his very first birthday! Yay Aiden!
